The basic training 2022/2024 in Vienna will begin in September 2022. The training is conducted in English and German. Aleš Urbanczik (President of the European Guild) and Uli Förg (first chairman of the German Rolfing Association) lead this 2-year modular training course. The two course leaders together have more than 50 years of experience in Structural Integration / Rolfing® Structural Integration and are currently the most experienced basic training team in Europe.

Both instructors Aleš Urbanczik and Uli Förg are fluent in English and could teach this Basic Traning bilingually, should there be non-German speaking participants. Basic Principles
At the heart of the Basic Training Program of the European Guild for Structural Integration (EGSI) are the principles and structural considerations expressed in Ida Rolf's basic series of ten Structural Integration sessions, with no additions or modifications from other modalities. Upon successful completion of the training, the graduate will receive a diploma from both EGSI and International IASI . The training is part-time / modular on 20 extended weekends and is divided into three phases.
Phase 1 - on 6 extended weekends with a total of 152 lessons
Muscular, skeletal and fascial anatomy
Biomechanics and Structural Integration
Physiology and biochemistry of fascia
Analysis and interpretation of human structure and movement, and development of coherent strategies for manipulative interventions to improve them
Reasonable behavior in a therapeutic relationship
Self-care with exercises to become a competent SI therapist
The anatomy and theory of the 'Basic Ten Series'
Phase 2 - on 6 extended weekends with a total of 152 lessons
Practice the "Basic Ten Series" of students together
Deepening of all topics started in Phase 1
Phase 3 - on 8 extended weekends with a total of 202 lessons
Supervised Basic Ten series by each student with three external clients
Further deepening of all topics started in Phase 1
home study
In addition, students must expect at least 500 hours of home study.
