Volume 1 - The Elements of Structural Integration

A classroom text for introducing students to the basic principles of Structural Integration:

  1. Gravity – its fundamental role in human life
Movement – expansional balance in Gravity
Tensegrity – fascia and bones in open balance
Geometry – tools for analyzing structure
Touch and Awareness – experiential bodywork

The conceptual framework of Structural Integration enables understanding of many common ailments. Most of the procedures of the first three sessions of Dr. Rolf's Ten Session Series are here, enabling students to begin organizing structure. With this material they can begin to fix a host of the problems their clients bring them.

Our strong movement emphasis helps students bring Structural Integration Integration concepts into everyday life.

Volume Two - The Ten Sessions of Structural Integration

This version of Dr. Rolf's Ten Session 'Recipe' was derived from her classes in 1968–74 and checked against video and audio archives of that period. It is a basic resource for understanding the work, elaborated by the primary author's 40 years of experience, and his integration of dance theory and movement with the method.

Structural Integration is much more than the fixing of dysfunctional segments, and yet these fall into place behind the larger picture of unity in gravity. Human bodies can be brought into an improved relationship with gravity. The Ten Session Series is still an effective way of accomplishing this with most people, most of the time.

This manual was devised to support a course in Structural Integration which acknowledges and pursues the grand vision of an integrated whole.
